From School Library Journal

Gr 4-7-Guy Strange, hero of Regular Guy (1999) and Guy Time (2000, both HarperCollins), is desperate when his mom tells him she's getting married to Jerry Zuckerman, professional clown and father of Guy's worst enemy, Lana. He is determined to stop the romance, and for once Lana agrees with him. Along with Guy's buddy Buzz, they cook up a crazy plan that works-all too well. Guy's mom is heartbroken at her broken engagement, which makes Guy heartbroken as well. Telling the truth brings the couple back together, and it looks like Lana will be sleeping in the dining room and Guy will be moving in with his dad. Then, the happy couple surprises both children by purchasing a new house-one that just happens to be next door to Buzz. Their parents are happy. Buzz is happy. Guy and Lana are on the way to being happy. Sappy, isn't it? These ridiculous parents are too corny and over-the-top cutesy to be real, and they ultimately end up the heroes, with Guy and Lana playing typical kids forced to make the best of an unpleasant situation-that is, until the convenient, way-too-happy ending. This one may leave readers with the feeling of having eaten too much frosting on the wedding cake.-Linda Bindner, Truman State University, Kirksville, MO

From Booklist
Gr. 4-7. It's been some time since Guy's parents divorced, but he's still shocked when his mother announces she's remarrying. Even worse, she's getting hitched to the father of his archenemy, Lana Zuckerman. Guy, his buddy Buzz, and even Lana agree that blending families will be disastrous, so they conspire to split up the lovebirds. As it turns out, their scheme produces some unexpected results and surprising rewards. The third book about Guy stands well on its own; it's a light, lively read with a likable protagonist, and plenty of wit. The adult characters are a bit annoying (Guy's ditsy mother is obnoxiously cheerful), and the ending is a bit too neat, but readers will still find the story entertaining as well as sympathetic to the challenges of coping with bullies, remarriage, and finding common ground. Funniest Book Ever
By A Customer
This book was about two kids that want to separate their parent's form getting married and living together in one big family. I liked this book because its funny and I liked it more than other book because this was funny. Well really you can't dislike nothing from this book because once you read this book you will recommended to others. My favorite character was Guy because he doesn't know that he likes Lana the daughter of the man that her mom wants to marry. A passage that meant something to me was "We clearly don't belong here, and I'm inclined to believe we never will." When I told my parent that I did belong in this family. This was apart with others was that this one it was funny and it was some sad sense and it's the best book I ever read. I would say this book to some one else that who ever likes funny books it's the one for you. A question after I finish reading this book was that why did they wanted to separate their parents except they did like each other and that they will never make a good big happy family. A really strong reason for recommending this book to others. I don't really have a strong reason why people should read this book but it's just like a funny and sad book.

My Guy

Title: My Guy

My Guy is a family book. A young boy learns to cope with his parents dating again. He thinks it is to soon for either of them to be dating again. He believes his parents are meant together. He is afraid that he won't see his father as much. This book is understandable because a lot of kids can relate to it. The best part of this book is when he and his best friend come up with a plan to keep his family together. It has effected me personally because it helped me understand that even though your parents don't love each other anymore doesn't mean they don't love you. I would recommend best friend that I know is having the problems and could use some comfort. My favorite part of the book is when they have resolved all the problems. The part I didn't like was when all of their plans had started to go down the drain. Over all I thought it was a petty decent book.

Guy...What a Guy!
By A Customer
This was my favorite by far. Guy and Lana see each other than they go out. Oops! she's the daughter of the guy your momis going to marry. Now should my feelings change for Lana no that we might be brother and sister. Think about it, what would you do? His friend, Buzz has a great influence on him. Like most teens, peer pressure slurrs our thought and decisions. I remember I read this book when I was ten, now I'm twelve and I didn't know people cares so much about childish funny books like this. Hopefully to all you reviewees this review can help you understand this book even more.
